The plethora of parameters we can play with makes it easy to recreate almost any electric piano sound, and beyond. Lounge Lizard EP-4 is an impressive instrument capable of realism and great expressivity. In the Audio example below, you can hear the same loop with Tines and without. You can also experiment with turning the Tone Bar down completely for a carillon-type sound! The Tine sound can be adjusted to be more present on the high notes or more in the low with the Pitch control, and we can also change the Colour and Decay of the sound.
Moving to the Fork section (this has two parts, the Tine, hit by the Hammer, and the Tone Bar, a sort of resonator), we find Tine and Tone Bar, two important parameters. Even with just this first section, we can demonstrate how versatile this instrument can be since we can completely morph the physical properties of the instrument in a few clicks, obtaining a wide array of sounds. All of these controls can be modulated by Velocity and Keytracking (Noise features Decay and Pitch too). For instance, the Hammer section features controls over Stiffness, or how soft or hard the hammer is, Force, which controls the strength of the impact, and Noise, for the noise generated by the impact.
